Favorite Combo: Orange and Blue!

Being a Denver Native and the biggest Broncos fan you might ever meet, my football ego is bruised after yesterday’s horrible Super Bowl loss. However, instead of drowning in my sorrows, I am taking a positive spin on things. After all, its not all about winning or losing, its how you play the game (which was done very badly)!

Broncos or not, my favorite color has always been orange. You will see color pop trends all over the place this spring and I am loving it! You can add those color pops in any hue, but today I am feeling a little bit of orange and blue action!  Navy, aqua, or royal blue- which shade do you think would work with a pop of orange? Here are my favorites!

Nothing says classic like Navy…add a pop of orange and you have something modern and unique!

These bouquets made from Pincushion Protea provide the perfect punch of orange and amazing contrast to the Navy blue dresses!

Orange Ranunculas are one of my favorites! Add a turquoise ribbon on the stems for a fresh take on the blue and orange combo.

Such a cute idea for escort cards!

Using lighting to create a blue “glow” is such a lovely idea! The orange flowers really shine with the blue light accent.

I love everything about  this cake and invitation design! So modern and fresh!

Orange Gerber Daisies are available in several shades of orange. Paired with these light turquoise is so fresh!

Don’t want to over due it with the orange? Use just subtle hints in a unexpected fabric choice or accents in different shades of orange!

I bet you couldn’t imagine that orange and blue for a wedding would look even remotely nice together, but they prove to be quite beautiful, don’t they? You can see how well these colors play together whether you are a glamour girl or an eclectic modern bride! For now, all of us sad Broncos fans will have to find a way to hold our heads up high and move forward to next season.

Cheers, Amy
